Job Description

Our future - and that of our children - depends on our ability to find economically and ecologically viable ways to provide for a growing population #39;s basic needs.POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance Analyst will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Finance Team and the successful candidate will become a key role to the Operations group.SALARY RANGE:

  • $65,000 - $85,000
POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accurate and timely execution of weekly production balancing
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis of variances to budget with a strong focus on time management and meeting Corporate deadlines
  • Monthly Forecasts with comparison to budget
  • Responsible for assisting plant management in preparing and analyzing the overhead budget
  • Accountable for all specific plant accounting, including posting of plant related journal entries
  • Will conduct ad hoc analysis as required
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with ad hoc issues that may arise
  • Other duties as assigned and required
EDUCATION AND OR WORK REQUIREMENTS:
  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Enrollment in the CPA program is considered an asset
  • High sense of urgency, well organized, ability to manage multiple tasks and able to prioritize effectively
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to effectively use transactional databases and finance software
  • Oracle and/or Hyperion experience is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Limited travel required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Walking, sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Lift up to 20 lbs.Position includes utilization of computer systems in the office
