The Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for interior and exterior cleaning of Challenger trucks and trailers in a timely manner to ensure our drivers have properly cleaned units. The chosen candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who collaborates well with others and is looking to start their career in a maintenance environment.Our maintenance facility is a 55,000 sqft building that encompasses:- 12 truck bays- 12 trailer bays- All bays equipped with radiant in-floor heating- Fully automatic truck wash bay and separate detail bay- Full Body shop including paint booth- A separate fuel island with 3 indoor baysKey Accountabilities:- Run the automatic and manual truck and trailer wash bay facilities to wash exterior equipment- Detail interior equipment by removing garbage, vacuuming and shampooing the floor- Sweep and clean trailer floors and flat decks- Remove decals off of equipment and complete interior and exterior detailing for sale- Maintain fluid levels and handle various cleaning chemicals- Enter information onto the computerized work software- Maintain wash bay equipment- Assist with completing yard checks- Complete wash bay checklist to confirm basic items in the unit are working properly such as interior lights, horn, heat, air conditioner, etc.- Pick up maintenance supplies and shuttle drivers to and from vendors as needed- Maintain 5S program with maintenance department organization and cleanliness- Ensure units meet Company standards of cleanliness- Perform other maintenance duties as requiredWhat You Need To Be Successful In This Role:- Secondary School Diploma or working towards- Possess a valid G Driver #39;s License is required- 6 - 12 months of prior work experience in maintenance environment- Mechanical background is an asset- Strong customer focus and ability to provide prompt customer service- Good verbal and written communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills- Ability to communicate effectively with Managers, Mechanics and Drivers- Interest in working autonomously to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision- Enjoys the challenge of working in a fast paced environment- Heavy lifting involved- Willingness to learn new skills and be trained- Basic computer skills- Detail oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment- Positive and upbeat attitude with the willingness to take initiative- Reliable and dependable- Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team memberHow To Apply:If you are looking to join a premier transportation company, and become an integral part of results oriented team who constantly challenge themselves to Go The Distance for our customers and for each other, the role of Wash Bay Attendant may be right for you.No phone calls, please.
