And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!Job DescriptionRESPONSIBLITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Perform painting and the set up and operation of various brake presses, EHRT Copper Bender, Boschert machine, CNC shear, Strippit, Punch, Whitney cutting and notching, saw, Din Rail cutter, punch press and milling machine.Set up and operate hoist, cranes, powder paint equipment and a variety of deburring equipment (hand sanders, strip sander, finishing mills etc.)Start-up paint line and ensure proper operation of all ovens and wash stages.Spray all material and finishing coats using pre-set and handheld guns.Work to specified colors, gloss, and thickness. Set baking ovens for temperature and time on all materials. May be required to do prep work such as manual wash. Carry out clean out procedures on a regular basis.General maintenance of wash line according to procedures to include nozzle and riser repair.Clean and adjust equipment.Apply various other materials required for finishing as per instructions.Check supply of chemicals and replenish when needed.Perform daily wash line testing per procedure and maintain logs for all testing results.Calibrate instruments and machines.Grind and buff any imperfections.Process work orders on dispatch through SAP (Systems Applications and Product) system or as required/instructed.Conduct Check-do-check process and complete daily reports.Troubleshoot any quality issues and proactively identify solutions.Unload delivery trucks.Deliver parts from the sheet metal bus stop.Accurately report task and times in Factory Talk Production Centre (FTPC) related to work orders and Critical to Quality (CTQ’s).Flexibility and adaptability to assume other roles and support other job families as required.May be required to assist, instruct and provide training to other employees.Participates in activities to increase job knowledge, including required training and certifications, job rotation programs and training and coaching of other employees.Participate in Behavioural Based Safety Training and contribute to the program.Participate in LEAN/Six Sigma Training and contribute to and make recommendations for process improvements and LEAN activities.Performs work in accordance with job -specific training procedures, follows work aids (DWIs, prints etc.,) and produces work that consistently meets quality standards.Ensure tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable employment, environmental, health, safety, quality, and legislation and or regulations (federal, provincial, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, etc.), as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures, 5S requirements and standards of business conduct.Creates an optimal work environment by establishing and maintaining positive and respectful work relationships.All other duties as required and assigned by supervision.Skills, Knowledge, Experience and EducationSKILLS:Mechanical and technical aptitudeProblem solvingBlueprint readingReading and understanding written instructions, i.e., CSPs and DWIsUtilizing a computer to view, log, and/or find appropriate job-related information, i.e., SAP, FTPCInteract with business system computer software and machinery efficientlySelf-directed in a team environmentSafe use of manual tools and, power tools and machineryRe-Tooling/Component HandlingUnderstanding of forming principles such as bend allowance, radius etc.EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:Level 2:1 Year Related Experience, High School Education/GEDPREREQUISITE:Able to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Machine Operator 1P.Accepts Role RequirementsMust be able to lift 35lbsMeet the requirement of Safety, Attendance and Code of Conduct policiesConsistently behaves in accordance with Rockwell Automation standards of ethics and integrity.Walk/stand for long periods of timeStrong Mechanical/Electrical aptitudeInteract with business system computer software and machinery efficientlyAble to work in a restricted (small) space.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer including disability and veterans.
