Job Description

We have opportunities for you to join our production team as a PT-2 NDE Inspector in Cambridge, Ontario. This position is currently a temporary assignment with the opportunity to become a full-time, permanent role.Primary Function:To perform all tasks of a General Inspector and non-destructive examinations (NDE) based on certifications held.Tasks:

  • Perform NDE based on certifications in all areas of the shop.
  • Read and interpret documentation.
  • Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.
  • Work in a safe manner.
  • Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
Qualifications:
  • General Inspector qualifications.
  • Must possess a PT CGSB-2
  • If you possess any of the following in addition to a PT 2, even better:
    • MT CGSB-2 AND/OR
    • RT CGSB-2 AND/OR
    • UT CGSB-1/2 AND/OR
    • CEDO
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • NDE certifications from a governing body (i.e., CGSB, AWS, CWB)
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Various shift options available for work :
    • Weekday days: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR
    • Weekday afternoons: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs)
    • Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Fri - Sun)
    • Weekend nights: 5:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m (Fri - Sun)
    • Frequent opportunities for additional overtime hours.
Additional assets:
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or related industry.
