Job Description

Job Summary:This role will report to the General Manager. In this role you will be responsible for Quality systems to support customer requirements, certifications and the further development of an established lab.Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in plastics industry, recycling preferred.
  • ISO 9001:2015 knowledge
  • IATF knowledge
  • Experience in auditing / lead auditor preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a Quality environment, at least 3 in leadership.
  • Experience dealing with customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • High level of time management

  • Ability to interact with the Management Team in a professional manner to continually enhance the company #39;s performance
  • Desire to learn the business, understand the production process by walking the floor, and participating in production meetings
  • A complete hands on approach is required to assist the plant in developing into a successful and profitable division of NanoXplore
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and with minimum direction
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be both a team player and team leader
  • Ability to manage and direct subordinates on the day-to-day tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to mentor and guide subordinates to achieve overall departmental goals and objectives
  • Respecting and understanding of the Customer/Supplier relationship
  • Adopt a common sense approach to identifying and addressing problems and control weaknesses
  • Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe condition
  • Experience with plastic mold for transportation industry an asset
Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision and oversight to the lab Techs.
  • Monitor Customer performance and address accordingly.
  • Manage QMS to maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
  • Manage the QMS to help maintain Green Circle certification.
  • Take the lead role in getting plant ready for and achieve IATF certification.
  • Take a lead role in the implementation of an LPA system.
  • Manage all internal audits and take a lead role in maintaining compliance.
  • As part of the Management Team, act in a professional manner to continually enhance the company #39;s performance.
  • Support and contribute to the Safety, Quality,amp; Environmental System Requirements
  • Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe condition.
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward suppliersamp; customers at all times.
  • Participate as part of the Canucks Management team.
