Job Description

Job Summary:This role will report to the Production Manager. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating shift activities, providing leadership to a team and reporting on shift KPI #39;s. You are also responsible for safety of employees, quality of the product and addressing any on shift issues that may arise.Knowledge and Skills (Education):

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with plastics / recycled plastics and extrusion as asset.
  • ISO 9001 / 14001 an asset.
  • Experience with ERP systems, EPICOR an asset.
  • Experience with IATF as asset.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate shift activities / assign work.
  • Track and report on KPI #39;s.
  • Provide leadership to a team of hourly employees.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Prioritize labour to meet the production schedule.
  • Implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee Quality and Safety on shift.
  • Performance management of team.
Skills, aptitudes:
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with multiple personalities.
  • Ability to stay calm in during difficult conversations with clients.
  • Experience with negotiating price and contract points an asset.
  • Computer skill including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) and other interfaces as SharePoint, Teams/Zoom, and MS Project.
  • Problem solver highly motivated with aquot;take action quot; attitude.
  • Critical thinker
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised.
  • Excellent attendance
Working Conditions:
  • 100% Plant Floor (PPE required)
Decision Making and Authority:
  • Authority of decisions:
    • As part of local leadership team involved in key decisions that involve the competitiveness of the plant
    • Prioritization of workload
