Job DescriptionThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of warehouseteam members engaged in warehouse operations including loading trailers, picking orders, receivingshipments, sanitization, and inventory control. They are to be an active participant in the training andcoaching of team members with their job duties, responsibilities, and safety.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES(80%) Warehouse OperationsLeadership Participate in the recruitment of new team members Attend and participate in Leadership and Development training sessions Supervise and lead the warehouse team in the absence of the Warehouse Manager Run the floor including rotating breaks and ensuring shipping schedules are met Create training plans and assist in the training of team members Keep the Warehouse Manager informed when team members are not meeting expectations Follow the progressive discipline process according to company policy Ensure a safe and positive work environment in compliance with OHSA, company standards,local, provincial, and federal requirements, as well as ensuring there is an overall positive moraland respect among team members Act as a role model for following all company policies and procedures, including uniform andPPE requirementsReporting Assist in compiling daily key indicators Assist in preparing daily warehouse statistical reports Accurately complete all necessary paperworkWarehouse Inventory Planning Maintain inventory control through effective warehouse methods and company policies andprocedures Assist with managing the day-to-day inventory levels using Solo Chain Ensure “First In, First Out” (FIFO) procedures are being followed Create the weekly loading schedule for receiving, warehouse, and inventory controlWarehouse Workflow Enhancements Continually review the load sheets and verify the accuracy of assembled loads Make recommendations to Warehouse Manager on how to improve operational proceduresand processes Perform regular Gemba walks(20%) Warehouse Team Member Master all of the operational functions and rotations of the department Work as a warehouse team member and perform tasks necessary to meet warehouse goalsincluding:o Loading trailerso Picking orderso Receiving shipmentso Sanitizationo Inventory control Maintain forklift certification Other duties as assigned
