Job Description

Located in one of Canada’s most beautiful areas, the Aircraft Maintenance Manager role for Regional Aviation Campbell River is a great opportunity for anyone looking to enjoy the Vancouver Island life. This full-time permanent position reporting to the Flight Department Manager is responsible for daily inspections, minor onsite maintenance, record keeping, regulatory compliance and scheduling / coordinating larger inspections with 3rd party providers for 2 fixed wing aircraft (Legacy 500 & 200 Super King Air) and a AS350-B2 helicopter.This job is for you if,

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Correction of all defects and the completion of planned maintenance tasks on time and meeting required standards.
  • Ensure airworthiness as defined by Transport Canada.
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints as necessary to identify necessary course of action for repairs or inspection items.
  • Record Keeping; making all required entries into the aircraft logbooks and be accountable to ensure permanent records are accurate and preserved.
  • Utilize CAMP to manage the maintenance program for all aircraft, previous experience with CAMP or similar system will be required.
  • Procurement and management of aircraft parts, hardware, and materials to be stocked in-house or as needed.
  • Negotiate with external repair facilities and suppliers and follow up on quotes and invoices to ensure accuracy and best pricing.
  • Be informed and educated in the practice, discipline, and execution of the profession to the highest standards.
  • Liaison with Transport Canada Maintenance Inspectors, networking with Manufacturer’s technical representatives, Chief pilot & Operations Manager
  • General hangar management and minor facilitates maintenance.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • An AME M1 and M2 Licence.
  • 2 years technical training & 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Human Factors Training.
  • BE20 endorsement.
  • Familiarity with the CAMP system for aircraft maintenance management.
  • The ability to work and stand for extended periods on hard surfaces.
  • The ability to communicate efficiently and to record and interpret technical information.
  • Moderate computer skills sufficient to work with internet and on a computer-based manuals.
  • Good manual dexterity and familiarity with tools and measuring devices. Ability to lift minimum 100lbs unassisted.
  • The ability manages complex technical challenges from identification to complete resolution.
  • The ability to work as a positive team member, calmly & efficiently under pressure.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE SKILLS & ASSETS
  • AS350-B2 Endorsement.
  • Legacy 500 Endorsement and or Medium Jet Experience.
  • Pratt & Whitney PT6 experience.
  • Experience with Collins Proline Fusion.
  • E license or in-depth knowledge of Avionics systems considered an asset.
  • A Diploma from a Transport Canada accredited Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Program considered an asset.
