Reporting directly to ourOperations Manager, George Nohr, you will assist with completing a variety of full-phase timber developmentactivities for K’omok 1st Nation, BCTS and Western Forest Product (Campbell River and Gold River). You willbe exposed to diverse and complex forestry operations throughout Vancouver Island. Field work is physicallydemanding with exposure to all types of weather and ground conditions. Some camp will be required.THE POSITION - Head CruiserWCTC has a full-time opportunity for a Head Cruiser for all of our Forestry Operations. This position will be basedout of Campbell River/Gold River. Travel and some camp work will be required; however, it is anticipated that mostof the work will be local. As part of a dedicated operations team, the successful candidate will be involved in a rangeof forest inventory planning activities, including daily management of field crew, completing or assisting with dailytimber cruising activities, submissions of appraisal data for cutting permits and client liaison. This will be a fieldposition with an office component as required.QUALIFICATIONS-The ideal candidate will have the following:
