Job Description

Orca Point Grounds WorkerApproximate Start Date: Late April to mid MayArran Point is North America’s premier off-grid private estate nestled in the north end of Desolation Sound at the mouth of the Bute Inlet. The property is comprised of a multitude of sporting facilities, owner’s residence, guest suites, a 9-hole golf course, a variety of unique entertainment areas and an expanse of comfortable crew accommodations & amenities. We are looking to add to our exceptional team of returning seasonal employees this Spring. Start dates may range from April-June depending upon the nature of the position and the availability of the candidate.As a Grounds Worker, you will serve an essential role in the day-to-day operations of the Orca Point Lodge. Your main responsibilities will be to help maintain the property’s lawns and gardens, stay on top of a variety of other daily duties and help other departments when needed.Duties Include:

  • Maintenance of lawns and gardens (mowing, trimming, watering, etc.)
  • Cleaning and maintenance of exterior of buildings
  • Removal of garbage, recycling, and compost from staff and guest buildings
  • Clean-up of leaves and other debris
  • Moving of equipment, furniture, and other items
  • Miscellaneous tasks- being flexible and assisting where needed (golf course, guest services, boats, irrigation)

Each department has a long-standing team lead/manager who is well equipped to show you the ropes, make you feel comfortable in the workplace and help you succeed!Employees commute from Campbell River to Stuart Island via water taxi or floatplane (at no cost to employee) and stay onsite for the during of their shift.
