The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting fire inspections on public buildings, places of assembly and sleeping accommodations to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and policies; acting as a team lead for Health and Safety inspections during recovery operations after natural disasters; providing advice to potential builders and renovators; meeting with building owners and various members of the public to ensure building designs confirm to related codes, standards and policies.Work environment;

  • Office location: 11 Roseberry Street, Campbellton
  • Office layout: Office, but largely in-field work (inspections)
  • Your Team: Individual, but part of a 20+ person team provincially
  • Opportunity for remote style work. Some opportunity for flex work.
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30

Need to have
  • Candidates should be designated as a Certified Engineering Technologist "CET", Professional Technologist "PTech" or equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years of related work experience with site inspections involving both public and privately-owned buildings
  • The successful candidate must be thoroughly knowledgeable of the National Building Code and National Fire Code.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
  • Candidates must demonstrate on their applications how they have acquired the education and experience for this position. Wage Salary:Technical Services Inspector 2: $2,159 to $2,719 bi-weekly ($56,134 to $70,694 annually) depending on education and experience.What can GNB offer you
