Meridian is a member of The Westman Group of Companies, a dynamic entrepreneurial group of companies also composed of: Behlen Industries LP, Westman Steel Industries, and Canada Culvert.Continued growth creates a career opportunity in our Camrose, AB location.FORKLIFT OPERATORThe position of Forklift Operator includes, but is not limited to, the operation of forklift. Responsibilities will include moving materials around the warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks, minor maintenance work, supporting control with inventory documentation and full adherence to safety compliance regulations.This position will work with Team Leaders and Lead Hands to ensure materials are transported to production workstations in a timely manner. The Forklift Operator will be required to maintain updated records of inventory and activity logs. Additionally the Forklift Operator will be required to read and understand shipping documents, packaging and safety guidelines.Requirements· Valid Forklift Safety Training Certificate· Previous experience as a forklift operator considered an asset· Ability to work independently in a busy environment· Able to effectively communicate verbally· Able to work well under pressure· Strong attention to detail· Physical ability to lift up to 45 lbs.· Overtime as requiredPLEASE READ CAREFULLYBy submitting your application through our online application system, you agree to the following: The information contained on this application is accurate, complete and up-to-date to the best of my knowledge.
