Join us!Job SummaryThe Expert Solution Integrator plays an essential role in the Transportation application lifecycle as they are accountable to put in place the solution envisioned by the architects for projects or program for a specific domain. This position resides at the intersection between solution architecture, business analyst, design, development, technology integration, quality testing and project management. The Expert Solution Integrator’s main role is to act as a translator between the different roles within multiple projects in a domain, by ensuring a continued understanding of the solution amongst projects teams across the entire domain. They are the master of solution delivery and cross projects solution integration & design within that domain.The Expert Solution Integrator is accountable to materialize and deliver the proposed solution architecture and anticipated business value. They work closely with Business and *IT stakeholders during the planning phase to define the various functional components and cross project integration points of the solution. They assist in planning the delivery of the solution, identifying work packages, cross projects dependencies and sequencing of activities across the various teams involved in projects/programs that are part of their domain.They master the end-to-end solution, lead & deliver design decisions, solution integration and overall solution implementation. They provide guidance and leadership to the delivery pod(s) and leverages team member’s individual expertise to contribute to the achievement of the projects or program objective. The Expert Solution Integrator manages solution barriers, mitigates risks and escalates architecture changes. They ensure that all pieces of the solution in scope across the various projects are properly tested and that business requirements have been satisfied.The Expert Solution Integrator determines conversion strategy and collaborates with IT stakeholders to coordinate overall conversions, cutover, implementation and stabilization activities for the multiple projects in parallel.Main Responsibilities1. Understand

  • Work with Support Team and SME`s to master knowledge and understating of application within his domain
  • Collaborate with Business, Solution Integrators, Architects and Designers (UX/data), to understand business objectives and purpose of the future applications within their own domain
  • Supports requirements gathering and architecture shaping
  • Perform research to understand ‘As Is’ application(s) (when applicable) and architecture artifacts
  • Perform research and get familiar with commercial packages chosen (when applicable)
  • Understand integration points between the various projects in the domain and highlight potential solution delivery risks
2. Explore
  • Collaborate with Solution Integrators to understand individual pieces and components of the solution design to comprehend solution dependencies across projects
  • Collaborate with other IT stakeholder and vendors to understand cross solution integration points
  • Support Solution Integrators and architects to ideate and identify application components required to deliver the full integrated solution
  • Ensure all the pieces of the solution have been thought and that solution respect agreed architecture across the projects
  • Collaborate with Business, Solution Integrator and Data Designer to define data conversion strategy
  • Collaborate with Quality Testing to build-up testing strategy and overall integration testing
  • Work closely with all Solution Integrator and teams involved (including vendors) in defining and planning the delivery of the solution for the domain
3. Lead & Materialize
  • Provide design aligned with Solution Architecture
  • Support developers, testers, release coordinator during their deliverables
  • Act as Scrum Master and Team Lead
  • Work closely with IT Stakeholders (including vendors) in removing any and all solution barriers, translate the impact of these barriers to the project leadership, and manage and mitigate the associated risks
  • Supports delivery team to escalate potential architecture changes or change of scope
  • Ensure that all requirements and integration failure points have been met through testing activities
  • Oversee conversion activity in collaboration with Business and Data Designer
  • Collaborate to the preparation and coordination the full Implementation Plan across the projects
  • Master the end to end solution whiting their domain and act as the go-to person for any question related to the solution dependencies and integration in scope for delivery
4. Govern
  • Assist in defining design standards, maintaining/evolving governance and foundational best practices (i.e. design patterns, design principles..)
  • Maintain the currency of the design documentation
  • Analyze and evaluate design documentation and solution decomposition and improve based on lessons learns and best practice
  • Assist in defining data modeling standards, and foundational best practices
  • Collaborate in the elaboration of long term vision to move toward interactive design and Design Thinking
  • Share knowledge and work method to build-up future potential solution integrator

Education
  • Bachelor degree in Computer sciences, Software Engineering or Information technology
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience in software engineering lifecycle process
  • Experience with software development lifecycle process
Decision MakingThe Expert Solution Integrator has the authority to make decisions or take action on:
  • Projects and program deliverables dependencies
  • Design options evaluation and decision maker cross projects
  • Defining cross program solution integration and dependencies by understanding proposed solution across the different projects
  • Re-arrange priorities according to the current situation keeping in mind the milestones and deadlines of all ongoing projects in the domain
  • Adjusting technical approach of an application component if foreseeing high risks on integration of solutions across the projects
  • Adjusting testing strategy when required
  • Acting as central escalation point for delivery POD
