THE OPPORTUNITY For over 50 years, Thomson Power Systems (a Regal Rexnord company) has been a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for use in the Power Generation Industry. We have an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician to join our Service team. The role is “hands on†and “in the field†performing a variety of field service activities on installed based critical power systems. In this role you will be the face of Thomson and the liaison with the customer in the delivery of value add services on installed equipment around the globe. You will be working with a strong cross-functional team dedicated to servicing our customers in the Data Centre, Healthcare, Waste Water and Industrial end markets. Driven and Solution Centric with a focus on customer service are essential functions for this position. YOUR MISSION Position Summary: Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the primary job duties of Field Service Technician will include; start-up, testing, commissioning, preventative maintenance, upgrades and modernization on low and medium voltage switchgear as well as automatic transfer switches using specified test equipment. The role will be based out of Missassauga, and will assist in a wide variety of highly technical and complex duties related to installation, troubleshooting, service and repair of paralleling switchgear, automatic transfer switches, control systems and/or mechanical equipment at customer locations. Responsibilities:
