Job Description

The Sunnybrook Talent Management team will host pre-screen interviews on Wednesday, February 7, 2023 from 8:30AM until 4:30PM. If you are successful in your pre-screen, a second interview will be set up for your preferred area on Wednesday, February 8, Thursday February 9 or Friday, February 10, 2023. Please bring a digital copy of your resume.Summary of DutiesWorking in collaboration with the interprofessional team, the Patient Services Partner (PSP) participates in the caring of patients by providing a variety of support services to patients and the team. The PSP participates as a member of the team in a manner that reflects the Hospital philosophy and mission of service, and promotes and maintains good public relations with patients, visitors and Hospital staff. The PSP will be part of a resource pool working primarily in acute care. The PSP will be required to assist with direct and indirect patient care, including activities of daily living, as well as decontamination of patient care areas and equipment.Qualifications/Skills

  • Minimum Grade 11 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Education
  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate is required
  • Recent experience as a PSP required
  • Minimum 2 years of related health care experience
  • Infection Prevention and Control Certificate required
  • Must be prepared and able to use all personal protective equipment
  • Experience in acute care setting preferred
  • Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training preferred
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility and willingness to take direction
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to handle various tasks within a limited time frame
  • Adaptable to constantly changing environment
  • Liaises with patients and visitors on a regular basis demonstrating excellent customer service
  • Must maintain an active Sunnybrook email account and have knowledge/use of R-ESP
