If you’re interested in driving excellence in care and service delivery, and seeking an unparalleled opportunity to lead and learn, partner and connect, care and be cared for, this is your home.What will you doReporting to the Senior Manager, Quality, Risk and Patient Services, the Project Coordinator will provide support to implement change, coordinate change activities for the project team and be a core member of the Business Process Improvement Committee. The Project Coordinator will facilitate discussions with Patient Services leads to create process flows for standard operating procedures. The Project Coordinator will provide assistance with day to day project management tasks, and support project managers as required with delegated activities. This responsibility will include assisting in the planning, monitoring, evaluation and management of assigned projects to support strategic and business goals. The Project coordinator will represent HCCSS, working closely with both internal and external partners from project initiation through closing fostering and developing relationships that will promote an environment of collaboration, innovation and the advancement of organizational endeavors.The Project Coordinator will work with the Senior Manager, Quality, Risk and Patient Services and the Project Managers to champion the effective and consistent application of best practice project management policy and process and will provide project coordination and administrative support for projects as needed.Key responsibilities will include:
  • As a core member of the Business Process Improvement (BPI) Committee, contribute to the development and implementation of internal processes and resources.
  • Support and complete due diligence activities and readiness assessment to identify gaps and dependencies, itemizing tasks and requirements.
  • Coordinating the development, follow through, reporting, and evaluation of multiple priorities underneath the assigned projects
  • Establishing clear communication and reporting around all initiatives among leadership and project member
  • Actively promote a focus on quality, safety and risk management.
  • Planning and development of project management activities including solutions.
  • Play a key role to support the coordination of the creation of an effective, sustainable and integrated health system.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans and sub-plans to ensure they are current.
  • Create process flows for standard operating procedures
  • Supporting the integration, coordination, and collaboration across health system partners
  • Facilitate consensus when managing relationships, as appropriate and working with all partners to achieve successful project delivery
  • Providing support to other HCCSS team members on project plans and priorities
  • Monitoring risk through the identification and assessment perceived and/or actual risk situation and escalate to the Senior Manager, Quality Risk and Patient Services and/or Project Manager for the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor the project plan deliverables of assigned projects and following up with team members on outstanding actions.
  • Develop and standardize tools and processes based on best practice and organizational needs
  • Other duties as required
What must you have
  • Post-Secondary education in health administration, health/community planning, business administration, or a relevant field with one (1) to three (3) years of experience
  • Current Project Management Professional designation is an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset
  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a health care environment with the proven ability to support a high-performing team
  • 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • French Language capability an asset
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in partnership with a broad range of individuals and organizations of diverse backgrounds, preferably within the health care sector
  • Advanced planning and integration experience is an asset
  • Complete discretion with sensitive information and sensitive situations
