Crossroads Credit Union was founded on understanding the real needs of our member-owners, this has been at our core, so our purpose and our value proposition have been developed based on our member-owners voice.Our members are the center and their needs drive everything we do. We want to help our members make decisions at each of their personal and financial “CROSSROADS” and help them chapter by chapter.This position is responsible for aiding in processes and financial analysis that supports the financial reporting, business projections and budgeting processes for the credit union.
  • Supports departmental budgeting, forecasting and annual business planning initiatives
  • Puts together, tracks and analyzes financial information including key trends, metrics, and business drivers to provide financial insight and guidance to functional leaders on business decisions
  • Reviews and posts journal entries
  • Prepares financial reports required for regulatory or management use and contributes to the development of financial statements.
This position will be located in our Head Office in Canora.Not everyone can be an Accounting Officer. To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with:Experience: At least 4 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities (a financial services background preferred)Education: Post-secondary education in finance, accounting and/or information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of or enrolment in a professional accounting designation (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred. A demonstrated on- going commitment to life-long learning.Skills: You must be self-motivated, self-directed, take initiative and be a team player by displaying a positive attitude and lead by example.
