Job Description

Gateway Co-operative Limited is hiring a Food Division Manager to oversee multiple locations in Buchanan, Canora and Sturgis, Saskatchewan.Who we are:Co-op does business differently. To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.gatewaycoop.crsWhat you’ll do:Reporting to the General Manager, the Food Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, staffing, budgeting, SPEH, and customer sales and inquiries. The Food Manager is also responsible for inventory control, ensuring department managers adhere to established standards, including safe food handling and sanitation, merchandising, signage, health and safety and loss prevention.Competencies required for the role:

  • Strong working knowledge of food retail and must be tech-savvy.
  • Post-secondary education in Business or related field and familiarity with the retail industry would be an asset.
  • Displays strong leadership abilities, have a positive and ambitious attitude, as well as demonstrate interpersonal, communication, and marketing skills.
  • Honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • Believes in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
