Job Description

Spearing Service LP, specializes in diversified oilfield trucking by a broad range of services to oil companies in southeastern Saskatchewan, southwestern Manitoba and North Dakota. With shops and offices in SE and SW Manitoba.We require an energetic, team orientated person to fulfill the roll of Fleet Maintenance Manager. The position will be base out of either Oxbow, SK or Carlyle, SK.The position is a full-time permanent position which offer competitive wages based on experience and comprehensive health and dental plan.   • Assume overall responsibility for fleet management; overseeing shop employees, equipment & asset repair, maintenance and parts inventory and procurement.
  • Assume overall responsibility for TDG repair management.
  • Supervise, train and enforce processes and procedures, set goals and objectives.
  • Develop a positive work environment, assign and monitor job tasks.
  • Ensure cooperative relationships between shop and other teams are maintained and support organizational goals.
  • Ensure quality of workmanship through verification of services.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety.
  • Identify, investigate, correct and document potential environmental and safety problems.
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of service technology and techniques.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Must have past history of shop management experience.
  • Supervisory experience with demonstrated motivating, training, and general supervisory skills.
  • Sound judgement, strong supervisory, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter; with ability to handle change.
  • Proven mechanical abilities able to trouble shoot repair issues and lead mechanics and foremen, warranty knowledge.
  • Demonstrate TDG knowledge or the ability to learn.
  • Experience with PMP, HTB, NSA and WCB.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal traffic compliance.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, suppliers, etc.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.

  • 10 hour shift
