Job Description

With a new base in Carman, Manitoba, we are seeking local folks who want to care for their community!We are hiring full time, permanent positions with a starting wage of 14.15$ an hour. We believe the experience you learn on the road with us is invaluable, and for that reason we promote internally for those with exceptional work ethic and reliability. All applicants must be 18+ and possess at minimum, a class 5F drivers license (many 5i licenses are actually 5F, check the back of your ID card to be sure!). No experience is required! All our staff enjoy an extensive paid training program, during which we prepare new team members for a career in Healthcare. Being a Stretcher Attendant is a rewarding and active career, working in a team to help those in need of care. Duties include:

  • Co-ordinating with your partner to provide excellent customer service to patients
  • Transferring stable patients between medical facilities
  • Taking patients home after a medical stay
  • Liaising with medical professionals
  • Documenting patient information and all relevant information related to the transport
  • Engaging with patients throughout the transfer
  • Monitoring patients and responding to their needs
  • Communicating with Dispatch
  • Following all Safety protocols and procedures
To serve as many people in need as possible, Patient Transport operates 24/7. We are currently hiring for a rotating full time condensed work week of 48 hours- 4 x 12-hour shifts. Our team members work 4-day shifts, and then enjoy 4 days off. We encourage a work life balance and believe in supporting the health and wellbeing of our team members. The following documents are required for employment but are NOT required for an interview. We provide assistance in acquiring all the following documents.
  • Child Abuse Registry Check (Max 60 days issued)
  • Adult Abuse Registry Check (Max 60 days issued)
  • Criminal Record Check- W/ Vulnerable Sector (Max 60 days issued)
  • Standard First Aid w/ CPR BLS
  • Class 4F Driver’s license (Must currently possess Class 5F)
