With a workforce of approximately 1600 the program’s staff are dedicated to undertaking the BCWS mandate in delivering effective wildfire management and emergency response support to protect values, while encouraging sustainable, healthy and resilient ecosystems.This position is responsible for the provision of corporate services including financial management and forecasting, HR administration, records management, procurement management, and freedom of information requests to the HQ Provincial Programs. The position provides expertise and support to program leads and managers for the development of corporate initiatives for the BCWS headquarters locations.Nestled within the Selkirk Mountains at the confluence of the Kootenay and Columbia Rivers, Castlegar serves as a transportation and cultural hub for the West Kootenay region.   • Degree in a field related to finance, business or public administration and 2 years of *related experience; OR
  • Diploma in a field related to finance, business or public administration and 4 years of *related experience; OR
  • Certificate in finance, business or public administration and 5 years of *related experience; OR
  • Grade 12 graduation and 6 years *related experience.
  • Related experience includes financial management experience.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience in budget and financial analysis.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience in contract management and procurement.
Provisos
  • Valid Class 5 driver licence.
