Apply for this JobJob Title: Full-time Accounting ClerkLocation Name: ChemainusAre you an accounting professional looking for an opportunity to grow a career with an incredible company Are you a natural with numbers and have an eye for detail If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!The Country Grocer Warehouse, known as Island Independent Buying Group (IIBG) is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This position is full-time, working from our Chemainus, BC warehouse.As Accounting Clerk, your job encompasses some of the following:

  • Responsible for processing of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable invoices
  • Ensure invoices are authorized, mathematically correct, pricing is verified and purchases are reconciled
  • Accurately execute data entry with attention to detail in a timely manner to ensure compliance with established deadlines
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes
  • Establish and maintain required vendor & project files
  • Carry out other accounting related tasks & provide administrative support as required
Additionally, we’d like to see these things in you:
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other common software
  • You have high standards when it comes to details and problem solving
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You can work independently but also enjoy team collaboration
Experience and Education:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Grocery or warehouse experience would be considered an asset
