Job Description

Landscape LabourerFull time, SeasonalOverviewLandscape Labourer is responsible for a variety of job tasks, including physical labour, in order to assist in the completion of landscape projects and maintenance. Job responsibilities also include utilizing various hand tools, power tools and equipment to carry out specified duties.Capabilities

  • Valid drivers licence required
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and orally
  • Focus on quality and client
  • Ability to exercise good judgement with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
  • Responsible and dependable
  • Experience and/or knowledge of plants an asset
Responsibilities
  • Perform lawn maintenance using lawn mowers, and trimmers
  • Perform proper pruning duties and appropriate shearing
  • Proper planting of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and bulbs
  • Plant care and troubleshooting plant issues
  • Weeding, cutbacks, watering and fertilizing as required
  • Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Manual transport of materials including plants, mulch, soil and rock
  • Wear personal protective equipment at all times and follow all safety procedures
Work Conditions
  • Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Requires good manual dexterity and stamina
  • Work outdoors in various conditions including heat, cold, rain, humidity, dust and noise
Job Types: Full-time, SeasonalContract length: 7 monthsSalary: $18.00-$20.00 per hourSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • No weekends
Licence/Certification:
  • Drivers License (preferred)
