We have been in operation since 1985 and have worked our way up into high speed, large volume production capacity. Paulcan is a domestic and global supplier of customized millwork for a variety of building materials and wood products, with a speciality in alder and maple hardwoods.Paulcan is seeking the support of 5 Woodworking Machine Operators to handle and transport wood products and materials. The ideal candidates will have strong intuition, punctuality, attention to detail, safety awareness, adaptability, and teamwork skills. The duties expected include:Operate preset special-purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products according to written plans and/or verbal instructionsStart machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properlyInspect wood for quality, including knots, holes, splits, and other defectsOperate woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, edgers, shapers, and sandersRegularly inspect machines’ operations to ensure they perform efficiently and safely, making adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specificationsComplete inventory and production reportsComply with company policies and workplace guidelinesFollow and maintain health and safety standards in all production stagesEmployment Requirements:Completion of secondary schoolFamiliarity with the wood manufacturing industry or an equivalent combination of experience and trainingA minimum of 2-3 years of experience in related fieldAttention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipmentAble to meet physical demands, including heavy lifting and kneeling and crouching, as well as excellent coordination skillsAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, we encourage applications from all qualified individuals and specifically applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups – including Indigenous persons, vulnerable youth, newcomers, and persons with disabilities – who may contribute to the continued diversification of our organization.How to ApplyExpiring: Oct 08, 2021Email: paulcanrecruits@gmail.com
