Job Description

Looking for someone:

  • with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a behaviour/developmental support worker and understands what that role entails
  • is familiar with intellectual and developmental disabilities and comfortable working with that population
  • with a BA in psychology or diploma in disability studies (would be an asset but experience is more important)
  • who loves to play and loves children
  • who is patient, creative, and very energetic
  • who is an independent worker and also able to work on a team
  • can lift 50 lbs and is not afraid to get their hands dirty (literally and figuratively)
  • can assist with daily living skills, including toileting and feeding (can tolerate vomiting)
  • who can commit to a minimum of 3 months with the possibility of extending into the fall
