Job Description

Division: RamblerPart of the Trotter & Morton Group of Companies, Rambler Fabrication is a pipe and pressure vessel fabrication and welding company that offers personalized customer service from estimation to fabrication and delivery for clients in the energy industry.With over 30 years of experience, our dedicated team of professionals provides quality workmanship at all stages of production to ensure only excellent products leave our facility.We are looking to hire individuals who will contribute to our team of dedicated personnel by bringing their experience and willingness to learn to every project. We are currently looking for Journeyperson Pipefitter to join our team!Work Schedule: Afternoon shift - 4:30 pm to 3:00 amRoles and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
  • Operate previously set up welding machines such as spot, butt and resistance or gas and arc welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding and soldering equipment
  • May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications
  • Mentor and train apprentices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures including Trotter & Morton’s Health and Safety program
  • Understand and follow company Quality Control Program
  • Performs other duties as required
Required Skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Results oriented and a team player
Required Experience
  • Experience with SMAW/FCAW/MCAW/GMAW/GTAW welding is essential, other welding experience is an asset
  • Must possess a valid Alberta Journeymen/women Certificate with Interprovincial Red Seal in Welding is preferred
  • B-pressure Certification
  • Bench fitting experience
  • Must have Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
  • Overhead crane experience
  • Experience with large bore fabrication is considered an asset
  • Tack welding experience is considered an asset
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a pressure piping, vessels and fabrication environment
