Job Description

Please note this position is remote. Join the Canacre team in an exciting role working on leading edge infrastructure projects.We are technical experts in land, energy, and transportation development delivering accurate, innovative, and agile solutions to our partners. We provide land acquisition, geospatial mapping, data management, web-based GIS, community relations, land feasibility studies, and permitting services. Canacre’s clients include developers, large scale service providers, and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects, rights of way, resources, and infrastructure across Canada and the United States. Canacre works on large-scale wind and solar power projects, high-voltage transmission lines, pipeline projects, municipal roads projects, and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.At Canacre, we act with honesty and integrity within a culture where trust, collaboration, and teamwork flourish. Our vision is to foster an environment that promotes inspired and empowered team members who make an impact.The Land Analyst coordinates the drafting of various land agreements, prepares reports and schedules, and liaises with project managers, clients, and land agents so that projects are completed on time and within scope.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, draft and audit acquisition and acquisition related documents.
  • Acquire and interpret land title documents in various jurisdictions in Canada.
  • Coordinate with the land services team to execute agreements.
  • Responsible, with limited supervision, to ensure effective administration and control of lands, right-of-way’s, damage settlements, well site, pipeline, utility right-of-way, lease amendments and third-party crossings.
  • Prepare supporting land documents such as; crossing line list, surface acquisition report, landowner line list, public consultation report and notifications.
  • Administer payments to stakeholders and maintain tracking procedures
  • Liaise with key stakeholders such as clients, legal counsel, landowners, regulatory officials, government agencies and project managers.
  • Prepare and update status reports to establish accurate and effective communication of project progress.
  • Prepare due diligence trackers to support client project acquisitions.
  • Organize mailouts as needed.
  • Assist in developing and/or improving internal processes and standards for better efficiency in completing deliverables and tasks.
  • Manage projects within the scope of land administration.
  • Works directly with the team and provides regular feedback
  • Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation
  • Post-secondary education in land, land administration or a related field of study or relevant experience.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years or project experience.
  • Experience working with title and drafting agreements.
  • Experience with infrastructure (petroleum pipeline and transmission), renewable, and/or other right-of-way projects.
  • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team of project professionals.
  • Experience working in US jurisdictions is considered an asset.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an extremely keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines and timelines.
  • Proficient using software to track and organize several hundred agreements on a single project.
  • Ability to interpret survey/construction plans, maps and legal descriptions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
