Increases are then reviewed throughout employment.For more information about AdvanTec, please visit our website at www.advantecglobal.com.The Project Engineer will facilitate high level projects through the manufacturing facility as well as create and release designs/drawings as required to support contract manufacturing and other company design needs. As Project Engineer, they will coordinate with all departments to ensure the success of the project including on-time delivery, budget vs actuals and ensuring customer and quality specifications are all met. They will support the business in the maintenance and development of new product designs including drawings, models and bills of materials.Essential functions for this role are:Liaison to customer and work with sales on all communications with customersResponsibilities include on-sight client interface, PM/sales communication, contract/PO line items, reviewing estimates, scope and timeline.Set up and coordinate project plans, review progress to plan, thorough review of client specifications and regulatory specifications.Participate in project meetings and provide necessary information as needed.Initiate and process change orders with the client.Regularly communicate with the client and to internal stakeholders on project status.Coordinate work through the company, resolving project related issues.Monitors the costs of the project.Customer and vendor visits when required.Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate their solutions.Conduct project progress meetings with all parties involved in executing the project.Determine and implement the appropriate level of project control (ie: submittal logs, change order logs, etc.)Document substantial completion; manage the project closeout process to assure timely completion.Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable recordsProduce models and corresponding drawings for new and existing products as needed for sales procurement and production teams.Work with sales and engineering to support the development of ROI business models on all new product and process proposals.Produce finalized bills of materials as needed for procurement and production teams.Lead design aspects of DFMA initiatives, and regularly propose product and process improvements.Provide drawings and modelling as required by sales and engineering team for proposals and baseline reviews.Produce and/or interpret Finite Element Analysis models.Oversee development and prototype production of all new products.Provide product or process improvements on existing product.Prepare documentation for new products including drawings, BOM, specifications, and test plan/reports.If you have the following experience, qualifications, and skills, we want to hear from you!Detailed oriented and the ability to prioritize effectivelyPositive outgoing attitude; with a professional demeanorYour integrity is admired by those around you,You radiate positive energy and have an outgoing personality,You are driven and enjoy some autonomy in a position,You are interested in this role but also aspire to growStrong mechanical aptitude and hands on design and testing skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience and educationEIT designation an asset0-3 years’ working experience in an engineering capacity1-3 years’ experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2DIntermediate to advanced experience with current generation Microsoft Office softwareElectrical design experience an assetHydraulics, Pneumatics, and structural design experience an assetExperience with Visual ERP system an assetThank you for your interest in AdvanTec Global Innovations.
