About StackTeck Systems LimitedStackTeck, with over five decades of mold building innovation, is a leading source of high productivity tooling solutions for the injection molding industry. StackTeck supplies a wide range of injection molds and IML automation used to produce plastic parts in applications such as caps, closures, medical, PET preforms, and thinwall packaging; as well as complete system integrations including IML. StackTeck recently invested in new capacity to facilitate customer projects for In Mold Labeling (IML) and other packaging applications. This new StackTeck facility is dedicated for automation, robotics engineering, assembly, test and injection molding systems integration. This 13,000 sq. ft. new facility is a 15 minute drive from the main StackTeck mold manufacturing facility near Toronto International Airport.SUMMARY: The Field Service Technician will be primarily responsible for the installation and commissioning of custom industrial robots, and associated automation such as vision inspection systems, stackers, conveyors, and case packers at customers factories servicing the plastics injection molding industry. Extended responsibilities will include customer training in the safe operation of the equipment, factory audits, scheduled and unscheduled service support both remotely, and on-site. The role will involve travel to customer locations in both North and South America, up to 75% of the time.WHAT WE OFFER:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To install and commission industrial robots and automation for:
    • In-mold labeling (IML)
    • Part take-out robots
    • Post molding operations such as vision inspection, stacking, assembly, conveying, and case packing.
  • To train customers in the safe operation and maintenance of said industrial robots and automation.
  • To provide customers remote diagnostic support, and both scheduled and unscheduled on-site support for service and warranty
  • Replace, service, and recalibrate industrial equipment such as end-of-arm-tooling (EOAT), motors, pumps, electrical components, etc.
  • Generate reports, documenting service calls for both scheduled and unscheduled visits.
  • Manage warranty returns from customer facilities to StackTeck Automation
  • Travelling will be required, mostly within but not limited to North and South America.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the injection molding industry, familiar with molding machines, molds, the molding process, industrial robots, and automation.
  • Post-secondary education in a technical discipline such as mechanical, electrical, electronic, or mechatronics engineering.
  • Strong understanding of pneumatic circuits and components, and a working knowledge of PLC’s and or industrial PC’s
  • Knowledge of In - Mold Labelling is an asset.
  • Able to read engineering drawings, BOMS, pneumatic schematics, and trouble shoot pneumatic and vacuum circuit components.
  • Able to read electrical schematics and trouble shoot AC and DC electrical circuits and hardware, and motion control systems.
  • Ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
  • Industrial Electricians or a Millwrights License is an asset.
  • B amp;R controls platform knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Certified training for forklift, crane, WHMIS and workplace is safety is required/or will be provided.
  • Fluency in Spanish and or French is a strong asset.
