Job Description

Our clients include industry leading organizations who partner with us to be an extension of their HRamp; Recruitment function.Position: Engineering Supervisor - Prototype BuildLocation: Vaughan, ONSalary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year (Depending on experience)Industry: Manufacturing / HVAC/ Mechanical/ ElectricalEmployment Term: Full Time / PermanentRolesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervising the planning, execution, and completion of engineering prototype builds.
  • Develop assembly methods and techniques for use by production team.
  • Manage and mentor a team of technicians.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that prototypes meet design specifications and performance requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing to identify and resolve any issues or defects.
  • Oversee the documentation of prototype development processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualificationsamp; Experience:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or Technologist or equivalent.
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in Prototype Builds or similar in a manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, soldering and welding equipment, etc.
  • Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
