Job Description

Overview:The Manager JDE E1 Application – SCM, OTC and Manufacturing will be a key member of our expanding Information Systems Team, which is accountable for all system & business analyst activities for the KIK Consumer Brands (KCB) Division. This division is lead from the Vaughan offices and has locations throughout the world.Description:The Manager JDE E1 Application – SCM, OTC and Manufacturing position is part of the KCB Division Information Systems team. The incumbent engages directly with business users, process owners and management alongside IT/IS team interfaces. This role is responsible for managing configuration, business process changes, functional specifications, testing, user manuals and training documentation and for providing business consultancy, change leadership in the areas of manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain Planning and related modules focusing on Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and integrated applications.This role is based in Vaughan, ON and will have global responsibilities for locations outside of Canada including US and Mexico with travel requirements of approximately 10%.Responsibilities:

  • Lead support and enhancement for JDE E1 application non-finance space and implementing a process and structure that provides world class service to our customers
  • Support implementation and champion EDPM processes, tools and documentation as they relate to JDE E1 Applications
  • Monitor issues and identify root problems and trends and propose and implement solutions to improve performance, stability and usability
  • Take a leadership role in the implementation, rollout and/or upgrade of JDE E1 – Non-Finance area Ensuring;
  • Manage the JDE E1 – Non-Finance area Functional team ensuring a culture that supports thoroughness and process adherence and that resources and workload are balanced appropriately
  • Serves as a conduit between the JDE end user community and the IS/IT teams.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize business processes through better use of existing system capabilities and/or changes to system to improve capabilities
  • Assist with project management activities on other initiatives by organizing work assignments, establishing deadlines, and monitoring progress
  • Communicating regularly with all levels of the organization to ensure constant communication and delivery of user and business needs
  • Facilitate development of solutions that combine knowledge of business processes and issues, technological options, and process facilitation techniques.
  • Drives evaluation of options, risks, resource requirements, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
  • Assist with developing the roadmap that integrates solutions across various businesses
  • Lead the identification and resolution of gaps and inconsistencies
  • Accountable for successful execution, as the solution is implemented and the solution transitions to regular operations.
  • Provide guidance to the team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using problem solving principles and experience
  • Coach and mentor other team members and conduct knowledge sharing activities
  • Responsible for planning an approach for defining, documenting, categorizing, and packaging requirements for projects and initiatives
  • Liaise with business management, IT management, vendors, and partners in project related matters as well as lead discussion on strategic direction and best fit alternatives or to align IT plans with Business strategic plans
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or another business-related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a consumer-packaged goods manufacturing environment would be a plus.
  • 10+ years of functional analyst experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne in Manufacturing, Procurement, Inventory Management, Shop Floor Management and Supply chain planning/forecasting and Order to Cash modules and processes in addition to basic knowledge across other modules.
  • 5+ Years’ experience managing and leading a team.
  • Experience with acquisitions, full life cycle implementation and project management
  • Organized and task oriented. Ability to work on multiple initiatives and projects concurrently ensuring that timelines are balanced with resource constraints and resulting deadlines are met.
  • Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broad based information systems and utilizing advanced tools and techniques to effect business change

  • Demonstrate leadership, flexibility and the ability to lead functional team member and effectively interface with various, manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain Planning teams
  • Strong understanding of current technology trends, overseeing the implementation of systems, technology and controls to improve efficiency and evaluate, identify and selection of new technologies
  • Proven expertise in architecting and implementing JDE solutions, especially in the JDE E1 space
  • Effective communication skills to interact with various internal and external contacts to problem solve, analyze, and improve upon systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and developing business presentations and power user training materials
  • Exceptional prioritization skills and ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high degree of integrity
  • Demonstrated accuracy with reports and projects, analytical aptitude and strong attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, innovative and self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups of people with a clear vision of client and business needs
  • Solid technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Ability to solve problems spanning multiple environments in a business area
