  • The Program Advisor’s primary purpose is to foster student success measured by timely program completion and/or continuing enrolment in Yorkville University programs.
  • The Program Advisor administers a calendar of customer service activities including: following up with students at-risk of departure, calling withdrawn students and students on leave of absence to encourage re-entry.
  • Working as part of program teams, this position is also responsible for proactively linking students with a variety of services and support mechanisms, namely academic, financial services, IT support and tutoring.

What you will do:
  • Administer and track program-based re-entry program (includes LOAs and Withdraws)
  • Administer and track student withdrawal and LOA protocol
  • Responsible for student engagement
  • Responsible for interacting with students based on indications they may be at risk of departure:
  • Attendance tracking (login activity)
  • At-risk reports from faculty
  • Grade reports
  • Connects students with appropriate support services: academic, financial services, IT support, tutoring services, mental health counselling, accessibility & accommodation, career services etc.
  • Following-up with students to make sure the appropriate services were provided
  • Reporting on student retention and persistence and re-entry
  • Provide re-entry reports to Program Directors and follow up with re-entry based on Program Director input
  • Meets with students requiring accommodations
  • Weekly meetings with probation students
  • Provide relevant communication of campus activities and events to student body
What you bring:
  • An undergraduate degree in related area preferred.
  • 2-3 years student services and/or customer service experience.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
