Job Description

Job DescriptionJYSK is seeking an enthusiastic Administrative Receptionist to join our Human Resources team on a permanent, full-time basis.We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. The successful candidates will be the first point of contact for visitors to Head Office, will handle office tasks, provide polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, make reservations or travel arrangements, and generally be a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.This role is required to work onsite in our corporate office located in Coquitlam. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a seamless and positive customer experience to all visitors and Colleagues including maintaining polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Administer the fire equipment inspections program - including arranging annual inspections for stores, DC, and head office; organizing deficiency repairs, and approving invoices.
  • Generate reports, transcribe minutes from meetings, create presentations, and conduct research.
  • Handle office tasks, such as screening phone calls, managing all incoming and outgoing mail, filing, booking appointments and setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies.
  • Provide executive assistant support to senior management when needed including travel, meeting, and catering arrangement.
  • As Chair for the social committee, organize social events for colleagues at head office and offsite and administer the committee budget.
  • Arrange lunches, food and refreshments for the office as needed (including picking up products at various companies).
  • Administer onsite First Aid (JYSK will provide the Level 2 First Aid training)
  • Provide administrative support by maintaining safety metrics, identifying trends and monitoring process.
  • Perform other related duties for other departments as required.

What do you bring to the role
  • 1+ year(s) of administrative or office-related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and consistent access to a vehicle are required.
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of a first aid attendant.
  • Event planning or similar experience is a bonus.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including proper pronunciation and grammar, and a consistently courteous and professional tone of voice at all times.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Very self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
Compensation:Generally, the hiring range for this position is $48,000 to $55,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.If this sounds like an opportunity for you, come join JYSK and experience it for yourself!
