The Role The Casual On-Call Workplace Facilitator provides substitute classroom activities when regular Workplace LINC staff have planned or sudden absences.Workplace LINC is a workplace preparation focused English program for adult learners within a settlement and workplace integration context using Portfolio Based Language Assessments ( PBLA ). Students are immigrants and refugees to Canada assessed at Canadian Language Benchmark Levels 4amp; 5 ( LINC levels 5amp; 6).Responsibilities

    •Prepare or use prepared#39;emergency materials #39; from absent Facilitator for Workplace LINC 5amp; 6 to deliver lesson(s) within a settlement and workplace integration context; materials are ideally focused on preparing newcomers for Canadian workplaces and help facilitate adult English language development; •If teaching for five or more consecutive classes with the same level/class, prepare and integrate Portfolio Based Learning Assessments ( PBLA ) into curriculum; •As appropriate, incorporate digital literacy into class via use of computer sessions that use Microsoft Office applications, internet research, email, LinkedIn, etc.; •Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team in the design, development and delivery of services ensuring program outcomes.To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
      •Recognized undergraduate degree; •Teaching English as a Second Language qualifications which are recognized on the TESL Canada website.
