Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our Coquitlam facility.This is a full-time position with the option to work 4 x 10 hour days, or 5 x 8 hour days, with flexible start times.The role requires programming, set up, and operating CNC lathes for production on high tolerance aluminum parts.Responsibilities include:

  • Load tools, set up and operate lathes.
  • Program using Mastercam.
  • Read shop drawings and meet appropriate tolerances.
  • Assist with new part estimating.
  • Work with QC to ensure accuracy of parts.
  • Operate Mills when required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Assist with set up or trouble shooting equipment for more junior employees.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Experience in a Machine Shop setting up and operating CNC lathes.
  • Experience programming using Mastercam.
  • Red Seal or equivalent training and experience would be an asset
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and care for quality.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
