Job Description

The Care Group (“TCG”) offers high-quality complex care services across our nine (9) homes in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for a Part-time Maintenance Worker to join our The Madison Care Centre team in Coquitlam, B.C.What is in for you

  • Starting wage levelling at CAD$28 / hour.
PRIMARY DUTIESamp; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspects operating condition of all equipment daily.
  • Inspects alarm, call, and security systems and logs information daily.
  • Diagnoses equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensures the safety of the building, equipment, staff, and residents.
  • Complete general repairs to electrical, plumbing, and other building components commensurate with the capabilities of an experienced maintenance trade person
Qualifications:
  • Experience in building or facility maintenance.
  • Knowledge of and capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and gardening.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Passport.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to maintain a checklist record of maintenance routines.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, move furniture, pick up deliveries from hardware stores.
  • Must be physically fit, adaptable, and is an effective team member
About us: The Madison Care Centre is centrally located steps from Como Lake in Coquitlam. The Madison Care Centre offers licensed and funded residential care to 137 clients, in which 96 of these beds are funded through the Fraser Health Authority. The Madison #39;s room types include primarily single and double rooms. The building was beautifully constructed and opened in 2008.
