The Production Planner organizes, controls, and monitors the flow of production materials, checking schedules, confirming job specifications, making arrangements for adjustments, and monitoring the quality of the output. By making informed decisions on the most efficient use of time and resources, the Production Planner ensures that orders can meet customer delivery dates within the agreed upon job costing and order confirmation terms and conditions.Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend improvements to processes for cost efficiency.
  • Pre-flight new jobs, review estimates, drawings, and tolerances.
  • Verify accuracy of estimates and job order entry forms.
  • Allocate and distribute work to maximize availability of staff and equipment.
  • Create production flow charts and maintain pre-press schedules.
  • Coordinate jobs in progress and keep stakeholders informed of progress and/or changes regarding status, delivery, or other matters.
  • Plan sequence of assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations.
What you bring to Ampco:
  • Experience in pre-press and print production would be a benefit.
  • PC proficiency in MS applications including: Word, Excel along with experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Attention to detail, organized and thorough.
  • Strong communication skills, writtenamp; verbal.
  • Ability to exercise independent, sound judgment.
  • Team player with self-confidence, assertiveness, and personal motivation.
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and manage stress.
  • Ability to respond positively and act with a sense of urgency to challenging work and deadlines.
  • Must be able to adapt and react to changing details and priorities - and shift the focus of the team to the most important task.
  • Experience working with ERP systems is a requirement (Experience in Syteline will be an advantage).

  • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (1-year contract).
  • Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.
  • Pay Range: The typical hiring range for this position is from $22.00 - $27.00 hourly; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
