About this Job:The cedar sales position requires a personable individual with knowledge of cedar lumber products. The successful candidate has good time management skills and excels in a team environment. The individual is committed to continuous improvement of both himself and the team.RESPONSIBILITIES• Administer cedar sales into an established customer base• Sell cedar lumber into targeted North American markets• Create and add value by achieving further downstream market penetration• Coordinate with production manager and inside sales personnel to adjust sales mix to meet production requirements• Identify and develop value added opportunities that address production opportunities• Provide vacation relief as required •Qualifications• Demonstrate a proactive ability to anticipate customer needs• Attend customer vendor meetings and sales events• Comfortable with making and receiving inbound/outbound phone calls• Ability to problem solve in stressful situations• Strong negotiation skillsTechnical Skills:• An understanding of lumber product grades and their application is a requirement• A basic understanding of log manufacturing and cedar lumber remanufacturing is considered an asset• An understanding of logisticsPowered by JazzHR
