Job Description

Come join the IPG family today!Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Electrician will install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, service and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated controls. This includes equipment or components directly or indirectly exposed to electrical power such as motors, generators, pumps and lighting systems.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Testing electrical systems for efficiency
  • Adhere to regularly scheduled maintenance of electrical devices
  • Ensuring a safe working environment
  • Cleaning contacts and circuit boards
  • Upgrading dated wiring and devices
  • Assisting with other tasks related to electronics
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues with machinery, systems, fixtures, and more
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must be a licensed electrician
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and problem-solve malfunctions
  • Work planning and continuous improvement experience would be considered an asset
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and under minimum supervision
  • Strong mathematics skills
  • A good sense of risk management
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
