Job Description

The Kingfisher Oceanside Resort & Spa is growing and is looking to add more front of house restaurant Assistant Restaurant Manager positions to our award winning AQUA Bistro & Wine Bar & Ocean 7 Restaurant team.At the Kingfisher, we are known for our stellar service and our spectacular property featuring our world-class hotel, restaurant and spa. We operate as a team and are looking for the right people to compliment our family. The right candidates will work well as part of a team, being flexible and willing to jump in where needed. The ideal candidate will live in the Comox Valley and will have flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends.The position is available immediately, so please submit a resume via email.   • Experience using Squirrel Systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Food knowledge and passion
  • Experience with reservations systems
  • Team player
  • Must be energetic & enthusiastic
  • Reliable transportation a must
  • Personable & well groomed
  • Be a leader and be able to direct staff and also work alongside them
  • Be able to address guest complaints or concerns and turn the negative into a positive.
  • Implement service requirements
  • Ability to jump into any situation and be hands on
  • Wine knowledge / bartending / serving experience an asset
  • Be punctual
  • Working weekends and holidays
