POSITION:General Brewery WorkerLOCATION:Courtenay, British ColumbiaDESCRIPTION:Reporting directly to the Brewery Manager, this position will support packaging of beer, and general brewery maintenance and cleaning. They will work closely with packaging manager, and brew team. They will proactively communicate all issues of concern.Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Can beer
  • Keg clean
  • Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs and navigate construction job site terrain
  • Operate machinery
  • Perform setup and cleanup tasks
  • Maintain safety standards
  • Provide labour support as needed for specialty crew
  • Perform general maintenance of equipment
  • Clean brew area
  • Manage chemicals
  • Support daily transfers of materials to the brewery, and within the brewery, to maintain the weekly production schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a related role in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in canning, and kegging operations a bonus
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance and good manufacturing practices
  • Demonstrated effective relationship building capability
  • Good communication skills for coordinating when issues happen
