Job descriptionJoin Our Team! Line Haul DriverRoute- Courtenay BC to Port McNeill 600 km driving per day Mon-FriClear Criminal /Must have contactable references , drivers abstract rqd Class 5-passenger vehicle licence. Min 5 years large vehicle driving exp.

  • Must have demonstrable Winter Driving Experience including usage of chains.
  • Driving experience must be in a cube truck or larger vehicle
  • Maintain logs , daily vehicle inspection, reponsible to drop and collect vehicle for services on a monthly /ad hoc repair basis
  • Fully vaccinated is a health requirement
  • Repetitive lifting RQD and clean bill of health.
Your morning will start at the warehouse near Wallmart at 0500 In Incremental snowy weather a later start is possible where you will dock the truck with the loading bay and then load pallets with a pallet jack into our 2017 Isuzu 20ft box truck---Next stop sayward island co op to refuel with max 2-3 stops.You will have the odd stop in Woss for a maximum 2 stop delivery and or pickup then on to Port McNeill where you will assist in unloading and scanning packages for our local drivers to deliver.Then back to CourtenayMechanical background a plusMaintain a clean vehicle, perform daily pre/post-shift inspections and travel logs and advise of any concerns or service recommendations.Use of a scanner.References requiredPlease note only shortlisted candidates will be contactedReference ID: CDRExpected Start Date: ASAPJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $20.00 per hourAdditional pay:

COVID-19 considerations:As an essentiel services provider which is fererally regulated the succesfull candidate will require proof of vaccine status with a minimum of x2 vacciness and will agree to require any future additional COVID protocols ie boosters etc.Application question(s):
  • The route requires driving in occasional bad winter conditions Do you have proven winter driving experience ie snow and ice with use of chains I also understand that additional driving time per day will/ might be required
