Comox Valley Optometry & Vision Therapy is a rapidly-growing family-friendly optometry office. Since our beginnings 4 years ago in Downtown Courtenay, we have kept our small friendly office feeling and are looking to bring one more into the group! We offer a variety of services so are looking to hire someone with a variety of skills... and who likes variety!The role: this is primarily for a front desk and customer service position. This would include greeting our patients, verifying health information, checking in, operating pre-testing health screening equipment, specialized testing, placing orders, checking stock levels and taking payments. For the right match, additional training may be offered to specialize in the optical department (ie. frame selections, inventory, displays) OR the vision therapy department (ie. learning and guiding patients through visual activities).If you are looking for a rewarding challenge, fun office environment and possibilities for growth - we would love to hear from you. No two days are ever the same in our office!The nitty gritties: we work a M-F 9-5 schedule. We are hiring for 4-5 days/week (flexibility on schedule but Wednesday and Fridays are required initially). There is a possibility to work around school hours at least 3 of those days for the right person. Pay is negotiable ($19+ based on experience).
