Job Description

Who Are WeThe AWC Company is one of the few companies that specializes in the design and manufacture of moulds for the die casting and foam automotive seating industry. We are not a button pushing type of facility as we often are working on custom parts as well. Our ISO 9001 facility is conveniently located just north of the 401 in Courtice, ON.   • You have 2 - 4 years of experience working with 3 and 5 axis CNC machines.
  • You enjoy the craft of CNC machining, and never want to be referred to as a “button pusher”.
  • You are fantastic with numbers, measurements and can use vernier calipers with ease.
  • You may have just recently graduated from an accredited CNC machining post secondary school.
  • You believe in the power of training, and enjoy taking instructions to better yourself and grow within the companies you work for.
  • You are a perfectionist - exact measurements make you a happy person
What will you be doingWorking within our Courtice facility on a Day shift with one afternoon shift a month your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Plan and coordinate your job specs with supervisor
  • Set up, supervise, and oversee 3 and 5 axis CNC machines while simultaneously executing tasks and making any necessary adjustments to the tooling and machines to produce quality results
  • Consistently communicate with supervisor and quality control to ensure production of top notch product
  • You will be expected to prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines independently
  • Conduct first-runs, part, and sample work-pieces to ensure the outputs according to specifications
  • Fully Inspect and measure finished products for stated dimensions and surface imperfections

  • We offer variable pay rates according to your level of experience. Most of our Intermediate folks will begin earning at $20/ hr, however if you come with more experience we can talk about adjusting that to a more reasonable number compared to your experience.

  • We also offer you work uniforms so your own clothing stays in great shape.
