Shifts available 07:00-15:00, 07:30-15:30 and 08:00-16:00The Laboratory Assistant performs a variety of duties within the site, such as taking blood samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens within the Core Lab and outside Laboratories, operating related equipment, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and performing related clerical duties. Located in Creston, south east B.C. between Osoyoos and Cranbrook, the hospital offers services including surgical, inpatient and emergency.QualificationsGrade 12Successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training programOne year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experienceValid BC Driver’s LicenseAbility to type 25 WPM *please upload a copy of an invigilated typing test dated within the last 24mths.
