In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority ( Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.Reporting to the Manager - Therapy Services, the multi-site Activity Supervisor participates and assists in supervision of activity workers. Participates in the planning, implementation and standardization of resident recreation/leisure programs and interventions; collection and evaluation of information pertaining to resident interest and need; promoting the development of individual resident recreation goals, plans, documentation and reporting; attending and participating in interdisciplinary meetings and reviews; and overseeing orientation, supervision and direction of volunteers.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceGraduation from a recognized recreational program plus one years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid Class 4 unrestricted BC drivers license (drivers abstract review required yearly).Skills And Abilities
