Job Description

Project/Program Overview:General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is currently seeking a working level Integrate Logistics Support (ILS) Analyst to join our Ottawa Team. In this role you will perform Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) for existing products on an In Service Support Program (ISS) for the Canadian Navy Radar Systems on board the Halifax-Class frigatesAs an ILS Analyst you will be responsible for the development and upkeep of maintenance plans, technical manuals, and provisioning and spare parts data related to complex electronic equipment.Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, design documents, vendor manuals, and other technical artefacts.
  • Performing Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), fault analysis, sparing analysis, and troubleshooting and provisioning analysis.
  • Developing maintenance data including theory of operation, removal and installation, troubleshooting, and scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Maintaining data in a Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database.
  • Providing maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance to engineering and support teams.
Basic Qualifications:Education & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul of complex technical equipment. A defence maintenance background is preferred
  • Experience developing maintenance narratives, performing MTAs, developing LORAs, and conducting fault analysis
  • Experience troubleshooting complex electronic systems and developing fault isolation and function check procedures
  • Experience using a MIL-STD-1388-2B or DEF-STAN-60 compliant LSAR.
  • In depth knowledge of maintenance practices, technical documentation, and support infrastructure
  • In depth knowledge of ILS techniques and/or engineering lifecycle processes
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and writing abilities
  • Technician/technologist diploma and/or relevant experience in a related discipline
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
