Atlantic Road Construction and Paving is looking for Experienced Asphalt Machine Operators to join our growing team! ARCP is a mid sized Atlantic owner operated and managed excavation, civil construction and paving contractor based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We are currently looking for experienced Asphalt Machine Operators to join our growing team for the 2021 construction season.· We offer competitive wages· We have a respectful and friendly management team that will help you succeedDuties and Responsibilities: · Line paver appropriately to the work area and ensure proper application of the asphalt. Smoothing it evenly to the desired height, width and depth· Observe distribution of paving materials along screed and control the direction of the screed to eliminate voids at curbs and joints· Align the paving machine into position and maintain constant flow of asphalt into hopper· Operate the paver controls to lower the screed auger, control the hopper, and navigate the direction of the paver· Preheat paving screed before placement of asphalt and monitor/control the temperature settings of the asphalt mixer· Perform daily maintenance and safety check of equipment· Operate the paver in a safe and appropriate mannerRequirements: · Minimum of 3-5 years of previous experience in commercial and/or residential paving· Valid drivers license or reliable transportation to work· Ability to work in a team setting· Must be reliable and punctual· Ability to communicate with Co-workers and supervisorsWe would like to thank all of those that apply; however only those selected for an interview will be notifiedJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:
