Our work is project focused on government ship design and support, including warships, ferries, ice-breakers and commercial vessels.   • Support and conduct Crewing Analysis within ISMAT, a discrete-event simulation and human performance modeling software tool developed by Alion Science and Technology.
  • Conduct rigorous Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) of theoretical crew models as part of a modelling and simulation process and support the authoring of a Modeling and Simulation Plan.
  • Prepare, manage, manipulate, and critically evaluate large and distinct datasets in support of the modeling and simulation of a theoretical crewing model.
  • Supported by proven process and validated data, professionally defend the results of the statistical analysis, data sets, and modeling &simulation as critiqued by the client in both public forum and written response.
  • Design and integrate, intermediate data management tools in Microsoft Access and Excel in the form of templates.
Skill, Capabilities, and Experience:
  • Education Required:
    • post secondary degree with a major in one of the following: BSc or BA Managing Data Information, Statistics, Data science, Mathematics or Applied Computer Science
  • Years of Experience Required:
    • Minimum 1 year managing database with large data sets prefered
  • Advanced computer skills including XML, macros, and scripts
