Following hospital policy and procedures, the Clerk B is responsible for maintaining the patient charts, filing of lab reports, coordination of patient appointments, patient registration, compiling monthly statistics on the program, scheduling of staff and submission of payroll. Daily contact with patients both in person and through screening of patient phone calls is integral to the role.The Correctional Health Services Program has an interdisciplinary team and is responsible for the provision of primary care services, mental health and addictions services, and dental services, within the four adult provincial correctional facilities. The delivery of health services includes nursing assessments and interventions, diagnostic services, physician clinics, health promotion and prevention, emergency care, dental clinics, psychiatric and psychologist services, and special programs (e.g. Immunizations, Hep C, Opiate Agonist Therapy).This position is located in the Healthcare Unit at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility.About You
